Néerlanday: Discovery day of the Dutch culture at Lille!

The University of Lille organizes the seventh edition of the International Student Week (ISW). This year, the Netherlands stand in the spotlights for their cultural influence in the city region of Lille and the cooperation between the higher education institutions in Lille and the Netherlands.

The success of this annual event shows the efforts made by local authorities to improve the quality of the welcoming culture and highlights the attractiveness of Lille in the field of research and higher education.

Programme :


• 9.30am - 1pm: Bike workshops - organized by the Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility Department: bike training / back in the saddle again / repair / bicycle decoration. Activities by the "Grand Huit".

Place: Maison du Vélo, Campus Cité Scientifique

• 2pm - 3pm: Lecture "The end of the elites?" by the Dutch journalist and writer Bas Heijne.

Organized by the French-Dutch Network in partnership with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in France

Place: Espace Culture's Amphitheater, Campus Cité Scientifique

• 3.30pm - 5.30pm: Screening of the film "Why we cycle" introduced by the director Gertjan Hulster and followed by a round table discussion.
