FRIDAY 17th NOV.

Cultural event – « Autoctonos »  of Aylen Parolin

Free places (within the availabilities)

7 :00 pm / The Gymnase in Roubaix

The Argentinian choreographer keeps on questioning our society of endurance, profit, productivity…but this time she digs in its failure, its collapse and communities trouble to mention the simple humans, aware of their own contradictions and strangeness. How to rule a group while asserting their differences? Based on the current community life failure, Ayelen Parolin looks for ways to a common ritual. Because it’s when we accept negativity and not the tyranny of positivity that we can gather and be still together.

Theater – Irina by Lazlo company

8:30pm - Antre-2, 1 bis rue Georges Lefèvre - Lille

It starts with the play Four Sisters (inspired by Tchekhov). Three plus one. Three sisters at the bedside of the other one dying. Irina, the youngest, stands out of the family unit, crying out for her missing solo. This organic whirlwind, explosive and jubilant, as a vibrant supplement, makes the closed doors of the family unit burst open, to show us the difficulty of being a young woman in an old world.

Staging – Audrey Chapon
Texts - Géraldine Serbourdin
With Séverine Ragaigne, Barbara Wastiaux

Reduced fee for students : 2€

Contact for booking : culture[chez]univ-lille2[point]fr

Irina is a cry from the heart. From an extract, we will explore together all the ways to play with the text, search for movements and meanings, to find its own sincerity. We will also explore, with music, the feelings et rhythms that the character of Irina offers.

SUNDAY 19th NOV.

Cultural workshop : dance

10am to 12am and 1pm to 4pm - Gymnase, Roubaix

Lessons inspired by the show « Autoctonos » with Marc Iglesias, one of the dancers. The starting point of this workshop is the deep humanity that we share, in everyone’s body and gesture identity.
For once, we will emphasize weakness instead of power, strangeness instead of norm, and paradox instead of reason.
This workshop is open to all students and doesn’t require no former dance experience.
